About our prices

Throwing Shade lamps cost more than factory-made lamps. But our lamps are truly one-of-a-kind and come with a ton of personality. 

We hand-make every single piece that we sell from start to finish. The entire process spans several weeks and requires hours of hands on attention. We throw and trim each piece on a pottery wheel. We hand-carve the designs and hand-paint the glazes. We hand-build each lamp at home, with quality custom-ordered brass lamp parts. We love each piece we make and we are proud of our work, and we hope it shows. 

We believe in supporting small businesses whenever possible. We source most of our materials at a MC Art Supplies, a fabulous local art store in Waco, TX. We are long-term members and supporters of Maker's Edge in Waco, TX, which is a maker's studio where we throw and fire our pieces.
